Long time no see!!!

Yup, it has been almost a year since I have updated this blog. What a shame that is. So many wonderful memories not documented here. The kiddos have grown and bring so much joy to our lives!!

 Lukas will be 5 in just a couple weeks. Still keeps us guessing all the time. I'm thankful that Google is there so I can confirm the things he tells us!

 

 

  Haven is a 21/2 year old ball of fire!

 

 

We bought this in anticipation of new adventures!

 

Started those new adventures with a amazing trip to Yellowstone!! Let this be the first of many!

 

 

 We can never spend enough time with these people!

 

I have made promises before.....

I won't make any this time other than to say I will try!!

Now we shall see if anyone is even still looking here!!!

OK, hitting the post button, lets see if it still works!

Time flys....Lukas turns 4!!!

 Good time for me to get back on the bandwagon!!!

It is hard to believe but Lukas will be 4 in a couple of days. We celebrated a little early at the Kalamazoo Air Zoo!!

 

The Air Zoo is a great place to play and party!!

 



Family started to arrive and Lukas could not have been more excited to see his cousin!! :)

Haven and her cousin Ashtynn did some bonding too!! They are soooo very cute together!!

 Time for some exploring and some rides! Lukas and cousin Rachel try flying the helicopter!

 

   Next up Haven and Ashtynn take a turn. These little ladies loved it, and pushed us away when we tried to get them out!

 

 The men folk wanted a turn, but chatted instead!!

 

Time to head over to the hot air balloon ride!

Ashtynn wasn't too sure about the rides!

 

 

She decided that even with Noni it wasn't worth a try and watched from the ground. She did eventually get brave and road a few of the other rides!!! 

 

They also have a playroom with small rides and lots of toys. Note: Lukas is never without something in his hands. Lately he is OBSESSED with sharks and he always has his hammerhead buddies along!!

 

 

Time for cake and gift opening so we all gathered around the table.

 

 

 

Aunt Ya nailed it with her gift!!!! I love that he can't hold back his excitement!! Aunt Ya got him an adopted hammerhead, he got a certificate and a gift bag that included a stuffed hammerhead!!!

 

 Some cash to spend when we go to the Shedd Aquarium in a little while!!

I made him a hammerhead shark shirt, no I didn't get a pic of it from the front, but I am glad he seems to like it!!!

Things haven't changed much from his first birthday!!

I could not LOVE this little face anymore than I do. The sparkle in those eyes can warm my heart!

We had a great time with family celebrating this little guy.

 

And with that he is off.....still lots to do at the ZOO!!!

 



Haven updates the blog

 WELL,

 I guess it is up to me, since gma is slacking off again!!!

 

Yup, once again someone is working at gandg's!!! My big brother Lukas and I loved hanging out on the deck watching!

We actually spent the night and aunt Yaya stayed too!! She and Lukas had a snake fight!

Here I sit.....waiting...and waiting for that snake fight to end. I found it quite boring and I was just waiting for some aunt Yaya time!!!!

Finally, I love my aunt Ya so I gave her a big smooch!!

  

Hey, she asked me where her nose was?!?! If by now she didn't know where it was, I was happy to show her!!! hehe :)

I am at gma's mercy when it comes to the pics that get posted. That is something I haven't figured out how to do yet. So, why this one you ask? Gma says it is because I am the cutest (I have to agree), when I am mushing up my face!

Gpa, aunt Ya and Lukas went Kayaking and when they got back,

 gpa told me all about it!

No, I am not biting gpas leg here, just the angle of the pic.

When we were done with the conversation, gpa tried to help me keep the hair out of my eyes......can you believe he is doing that. Actually I have it all figured out, I have him so tightly wrapped around my finger!!! :)

 

I spent a little time teaching Ya about kittens, and puppy's!

We decided to head outside again and see what progress had been made on the rock wall that is going in and I needed a better view!! Just an FYI, I LOVE to climb. Isn't that what your supposed to do!!!??

  

Apparently I am supposed to be CAREFUL!! Who knew??

Gma said to let you know she will do a whole blog on the new project.

Hear Ye'

 Hear Ye, Hear Ye' gma is really doing another blog!! No fainting people!! :)

Lukas is into a LOT of different things lately. Planes, trains, lizards, frogs, and bugs are all favs right now. He is especially fond of scorpions for some reason!! He is very attached to his things, and is very careful with them all. So, I was VERY proud of him when he let Haven help him pick up his lizards and frogs!!

Could this young miss be any CUTER!! I think NOT!!!

You can't see it in this pic but she had to have a blood test earlier in the day, and still she smiles!! xoxox this girl!

Haven loves to look at the pics in this book. Lukas was pointing out various things to her. As you can see he was putting tons of effort into it!! hehe

You can also see that poor Havens arm was starting to get a bruise!

Someday Haven will hate me for this someday........but I love the little folds in these little legs!!

She gets very excited when she is outside. She will stand near the door while you are getting ready bouncing up and down and giggling. She was happy to be sitting in the sun!!!

We got a visit with great grandma Stark last week and she brought Lukas a treat. He looked in the bag, asked her if they were from her garden. When she said yes, he grabbed one and got ready to take a bite, then asked her if she had washed them!! The answer again was yes, and he was full of cukes in no time!!

A couple days later and the kiddos were back to spend the day. Overnight we had heard a large branch or tree fall down. He wanted to go and check it out right away! It was pouring out and his rain jacket was at his house. He did have his boot though!

So out to the garage he went with gpa to make a garbage bag coat!!

TaDa all set to explore!!

Haven was doing some of her own exploring in the garage!!

With that gpa and Lukas were off to see what they could see. Almost looks like snow doesn't it!!!

They looked and looked and got plenty wet and still couldn't figure out what had fallen!! Hmmmm........
