Had IT!!!

OK, enough already!!! I know some of you are getting snow already....bring it on.....I would much rather have that than all the D@*# rain we have been having. It is always so dank and dreary.
Remember this??? I worked hard for that.......
Only to have this, this morning!!!!GRRRRRRRRRRR

Even the birds are preparing for winter with a little fat in their diet!!!

And just so you see the the GRRRRRRRRRRR is warrented you can watch this video!! For those of you here in the state you can sympathize.......right....come on you know I am!!!!

Well not all is lost, I can always find the bright spot.
You know who that is right.........Lukas.
Jesse and Amy took him to the pumpkin patch last weekend and as you can see he really took to powered donuts!!! I love the death grip he has on it.....and the little mouth...too cute!!!

I am hoping we get a dry day soon!! Keep your fingers crossed!!!

Mish Mash

Brace yourselves this could be a long one!!! Lots and lots of little things to talk about. Wouldn't want you all to miss me!!! HEHE.
First of all I thought you might like to see a beautiful sunrise behind Jesse and Amy's house last week when I was there. I love that they have such a pretty view.

Let' see what next, Oh yea, more Lukas shots...come on cut me a break, I love the kid!!! Here he is playing
tug-of-war with Schaffer.

Who doesn't like to chew on there socks????

YUMMMMMM !!!!!!!

Now, this is the side yard on Saturday....I couldn't believe how many leaves that were on the ground. So I donned the Ipod grabbed the leaf blower and headed out to tackle the beast!!! And the driveway is in there somewhere!

And after 3 Toby Keith albums, one Bette Midler , a Metallica, and the entire soundtrack of Wicked this is what I accomplished. Yea me!!! They were some really wet heavy leaves. And if you refer back to the previous picture you can see what is looks like now 2 days later :( It is called FALL right??

This morning I went to the big city to meet some girlie friends from high school. We have reconnected lately and it is fun to reminisce. We met up at this really cute coffee shop called the Daily Brew.

Now if anyone runs into either one of these women and they try to tell you anything about me, DO NOT listen!! It will all be lies. Neither one of them knows anything about me. Thanks for the great time Mary and Sandy. Hopefully next time some of the other oldies but goodies can make it!!!

Grandpa Dave is working on childproofing the house. It is amazing how many things need it now that Lukas is mobile. We moved in well after our kids were older and we never had to think about it before. The open stairway was of big concern to us. Now brace yourselves.......Dave drilled into the balusters to put up this gate!!!!! Wait till you see the other improvements!!! To follow later. He must really love that boy!

And for those who know me........yup, that is me making a pie?!?!?!?! Dave asked and I obliged. My mom and sisters all LIKE this stuff....I must have missed out on the cooking/baking gene, cause it is not my cup of tea.

Just a pretty shot off the deck behind the house.

And for those of you from Michigan here is a picture of something you don't see very often.
Yup it's the SUN.
Try not to squint, take it in and enjoy it, it doesn't happen very often!!!!

So now you are caught up on the happenings at the Ward house, what's up in yours??

My boy!!!

On October 25Th 1981 Jesse Elliott Ward was born. A sweet little bundle of joy!!
I tried 3 times to turn this and couldn't...so turn those heads around and see that cute face.

And while your neck is already stretched look at this one!! ( sorry I really did try)

Once he started riding there was no stopping him!!

Sorry, again but I couldn't not include this picture....Look at those knees......
Our little artist. He worked really hard on this from start to finish!!

Once he got into racing you just couldn't keep the girls away!!! Hello, ice queen!!! You would not believe the amount of money and bike parts he was offered to kiss her!!!

Riding in Colorado.......OK so maybe posing in CO. But he did ride to here.

Is it irresponsible parenting to let you child hang out with people like this??? We had more fun as a family with the entire biking community. I wouldn't trade it for the world!!

I apologize Jes but it had to be done. Can't let anyone think you didn't have an awkward stage.....How long did that last???
As you can see he cleaned up pretty well.
WOW! what is wrong with that hair?? It has always been a tradition to make cookies on Christmas eve and we all pitch in!!! (Love the apron!)
2 tracking at Yankee......Loving his Jeep!!!
Seriously, we let him eat things other than ice!! You would think he never ate before!!
He met and married Amy, the love of his life. We couldn't have been happier for them both. What a wonderful pair!!
This year they added Lukas to the family.

What lucky parents we are to have gotten to share in all the adventures. We could not be prouder or happier for him. He has been a challenge and a joy, and we wouldn't change a thing.

LOVE YOU LOTS JESSE!!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!

Lukas tells his story!

Don't these posts seem awfully close together??? I know but after I went to g-mas and had pictures taken she came down for a visit and I do have a contract to maintain the blog after those visits. Not that I get paid with cash just tons of hugs and lovin, that works. Grandma said this is going to be a video blog so you can all see how I am getting around. She didn't get a video of it but wanted me to mention that I am now climbing the steps, and I love hanging out on the safety gate. I climb on and love to bounce on it. Hey, what can I say!!!

As you all know g-ma likes.......Oh let's get real LOVES to take pictures. I have been trying for a very long time to get my hands on that camera. She is usually pretty quick, but so am I !!!!!!!

I love crawling all around And climbing and crawling and....well, you get the picture. I am all over the living room and sometimes you just have to take a few minutes to just hang.

And, while I was resting I decided to read to g-ma. I really love my books. I think these are some of my favorites and I was hoping g-ma would love it as much as I do. OH, and I have also learned to play paddy cakes. I love clapping along and especially like the roll'em part. G-ma tried to get some video of me but again I only wanted the camera once she got it out. Maybe I will cooperate next time.

After we had a little down time and all the moving around I was ready for a little lunch. Now I have to be honest here, I have acquired a new skill. I LOVE to spit!!! What is that bad???? I know that the other day when I was at my best est babysitter, Karly's I showed her how I could do it with some green veggie she was trying to feed me. I am not sure she thought it was a new skill she loved.......hehe. As you can see I am sorry if I make more work for everyone....but........

And, so you can get the full effect I thought I would show you how it works. G-ma said she almost made it through all the sweet potatoes and my yo-baby before I remembered to give her a really good show.

So grandma said that she has a few pictures she wants to post but she will do that later. I am going to try and continue to learn all sorts of new stuff. Keep checking g-ma's blog to keep up with all the new things, remember I only get paid if you keep visiting...........RIGHT like I wouldn't get a hug out of g-ma!!!

Add-ons

So, I was looking through some of the other pictures that were taken yesterday and I couldn't resist putting more pictures up to share!!! As you can see Lukas loved his pumpkins.

We spent alot....ALOT of time picking up leaves!!

Eating Leaves.......

Falling into leaves......

Being picked up out of the leaves.....

And eating MORE leaves......

Showing off the leaves we picked up!!!.....

And while aunt Sarah played with the settings on the camera....he ate more leaves....

So daddy helped remove those leaves from his mouth.

Grandma tried to explain why we should not eat the leaves and he seemed to listen!!!

We got a nice picture of the g-rents with Lukas.

Aunt Sarah worked really hard and was able to hold him still for a couple seconds.

Mom and dad attempted many, many, many times to hold him still.....

They even made a Lukas sandwich.

And of course aunt Sarah was still playing with the settings on the camera.

Grandpa got a sassafras leaf for Lukas and he loved sucking on it.....although we had just spent a long time taking leaves out of his mouth!!!

And it was all worth it!!, for this!!!!

And this..... AWWWWWWWWWWWW!! And this.

Me and my girl!!! Love her so very much.

She is beautiful inside and out!!!!!

Two men (boys) in hats!!!

Could a mother be more proud!?!?!?

Like father like son!!!

So, I could go on and on with this. In my opinion I could post pics from now till forever and I wouldn't get all the cute ones on so..........rest your eyes and take a nap....I am bound to be back soon!!!!!
