Sailing...Sailing over the lalalala

Grandma said she is in a blogging slump and said that since I have done such an awesome job in the past I should try again!!!

Guess she knows talent when she reads it!!

On Sunday the plan was for gandg along with aunt Yaya to come down and do some sailing. At the beginning of the day it was POURING...but we kept the faith. While we waited for the weather to clear we played with some choo choo's.

Rain cleared and before we left I helped Grumpa and daddy feed the birdies!!

I was working so hard that I wasn't aware the I got my finger stuck in my shovel!!

Good thing Grumpa was close by to save me!!

Yard work done and it was time to head to the lake for some fun in the sun!! First the boat needed some adjustments to the rigging.....Hold on, don't let go!!

I made sure to take a little walk around the boat checking all the rigging was secure!!

I know dad looks a little confused but I pointed out all the issues I felt that needed to be addressed before they could hit the water!

All improvements made and dad and grumpa took off for a sail around the lake!!

I decided to hang out and play in the sand for a bit!

At one point I saw grumpa and daddy come sailing by.....they didn't stop!!!

What a good grandma....she hadn't intended to but when I wanted to go OUT deep in the water she just went for it clothes and all....

For some reason I was a bit intimidated by this big stick in the water...Mommy took me over and suggested that I touch it with my shovel...There that wasn't so hard now was it???

Daddy and grumpa came in and asked who was next??

This is my daddy's cool boat...pretty isn't it!?!?

So while daddy, mommy and aunt yaya went for a ride I hung our with gumpa. We found lots of cool things in the water!

Then I came in and got my fishy jacket on and noticed some green slimy stuff on the beach.

Here grandma....this is for you!!!

Then grumpa and I went hunting for shells.

See....look at this cool one!!

Here they come back in from a great sail around the lake!!

It was at this point that I asked when it was going to be my turn!!! I got a little flack from everyone so..........

I kicked them all off and headed out on my own!!!

All that news coverage about some 14 year old who is going to sail around the world.....what about an 18mo. old sailing a catamaran on his own!!!!!

Top that!!

Well, we ended up having a great day...the weather was awesome and I really think I am getting the hang of this sailing thing!!
