Big Steamie!!!

Hope no one minds if I step in and take over g-mas blog again! I just had to get on here and tell you about my big adventure!!
G-pa, g-ma, aunt Yaya, mommy and daddy and I went to a city called Coopersville to see a really big steamie!! (train to you who don't know!)
Here we are taking it all in!!

Mommy, daddy and I posing on the front of the train!!

I have been very intrigued with the movie Polar Express and couldn't wait to get my ticket punched by the conductor!!

Finally, we were on the train. It was a tad bit overwhelming!

Oh, mommy this is going to be so much fun!!

Grandpa showing me the tracks that are made out of Jobie wood, just like they use in Soder!!! For you who are not up on all this that would be where Thomas and his friends live!!

Me and my daddy!!

G-ma says these are 2 of her favorite people in the world....I tend to agree!!

I was making sure that puppy had his ticket....didn't want him to get kicked off!!!

See they had the train all decorated for the holidays, and there was this guy in a red suit too! Someone said it was Santa, but I saw him last week so this must be one of his helpers! I said hi anyways, just in case!

I took puppy to meet him!

Ummmm....not too sure about this!!

Happy to be back in my seat!!

I did get a cool teddy bear puppet from Santa, and g-pa helped me to play with him! I don't mind g-pa's Santa beard but that other guys was way out of control!!

Mommy's turn!!

There he goes to see the other kids in the other cars of the train!

Daddy and g-pa talked sailboats a lot on this trip!!

They also had a princess on the train....she read us the book The Polar Express...she was really nice!Aunt yaya took me back to see the caboose....she is a cool aunt. I do have to admit that I like playing jokes on her!! When she asks me if Iwant to do something with her I always say yes.....then right away in my very cutest voice I can muster...I say NO YAYA!!!! :) :)

As always g-pa always lets me try new things!! Here he was letting me hang from the luggage rack!! OH, g-pa!!!

I really LOVE my yaya!!

I got this really cool watch at the Taco Bell's before we went on the train! G-pa wanted to wear it and I was happy to oblige!

My mommy is the VERY BEST mommy EVER!! We have so much fun together!

My buddy and me checking out the steamies engine......don't tell me...I know it is really a "naughty diesel" OH well!!

It was a REALLY fun time....... I think I am going to like this thing they call the holiday season!! I say bring it on!!!

We all had a great time and were so thankful that Amy, Jesse and Lukas let us experience it with them. Thanks again Lukas for telling us all about your day on the train!

The sleigh says it all......that is what this little man brings to us!!!!!!

Satisfaction!!

Hello, In order to satisfy a certain blog follower...who shall remain nameless for his protection.....I am putting up a VERY brief post.
BRACE yourselves for the following picture....it was not enhanced in anyway!!!
Yup...someone really does know how to use a vacuum.

Jesse, Amy and Lukas stopped by for a few minutes before heading over to her parents house. I of course will follow up with a fair amount of Lukas pics in a later blog.....remember I said this was going to be short....and yes the person who has been dishing out the abuse is in this picture.!!
We were so happy to have family together to enjoy Thanksgiving!

My mommy needed some assistance in order to enjoy her meal!!

Could this be the culprit!!

My wonderful nephew Michael joined us for dinner before suiting up and heading off for work in the security biz.

You get someone to, finally read your almost 2 year old blog and then after only one day they are texting you and hassling you about how you never post! :)

So here ya go!

It is not often that you get my dad to sit and let you take a photo!

Even more rare will he sit AND smile...Lovin this pic of my mommy and daddy!!

So, there you have a VERY brief synopsis of our Thanksgiving...trust me there will be more to follow.
We had a great time and I look forward to sharing it with you.
There Michael, Happy now!

Turkey day prepareation..Lukas style!

Thanksgiving is around the corner...actually it is here, but it is early and the turkey was just put in the oven so it seemed like a good time to do this!
Lukas worked hard on some cute turkeys using his hand cut outs. He cried a little when we started to cut them!! When I said,"OK, lets cut out your hands" he turned the scissors on his hand!! I guess I have to be a little more careful with my wording!

He also made a moose for Nonnie.....he had fun with that!

There have been a lot of sicko's around here including his daddy so he wanted to make sure puppy was safe!!

And Shelby too!!

After granpa came home he wanted to watch..BIG CHOO CHOO!!

Polar Express for those who didn't know...he is absolutely MESMERIZED by it. He will watch it over and over and stare, dance, and stare some more. We watched it 2 times yesterday. Who is more mesmerized??

Well, Happy Thanksgiving all......we will share our turkey stories with you soon.

Lukas reports!

Thought I would sneak in here again and give you a little of my perspective on my day and gma and gpa's house this week. My daddy went into work early today so I got to hang out with gma for breakfast. She has a new stool at the counter so I decided to try it out! Not bad at all!! Not to worry she didn't leave me here unattended, I am still a little wiggly in the chair.
After I hung out for a bit and getting dressed it was time for a little crafting. I had such a good time sitting at the counter at breakfast I decided it would be fun to try it again. First on the agenda was a little coloring....but that won't last long!!

So, gma brought out some scissors.....hey I may not have the best technique but you must remember this is still sort of new for me!! How long did it take you to figure out how to use these things? I was able to cut out a strips of this picture.

Gma helped me cut out some photo's of the family.....in a little side note..when she cut the pictures out and had them in a pile I was a little upset, I can't explain it but I started to tear up!!! Hmmmm... I was concerned that she had cut people out of the picture.....I guess I am a sensitive soul!!

Then I got to use the glue stick to add them to a frame (hey, it was a frame to me!!)

I also got to glue some pompoms (they did stick to my fingers a little) and then I got to use some cool marker to color a Santa door hanger.

Here are my finished products.....not bad if I say so myself!!

After all that hard work I just wanted to hang out. Once again I am working on some teeth, so chewing on stuff is way cool. I especially enjoyed chewing on gmas pincher's.

I took a very short nap.....hey there was still a lot to do and I didn't want to waste it sleeping!! I had some lunch and then I got to have a snack. No gma doesn't always let me put my feet on the table but she wasn't looking at the time!! hehe

The weather in the afternoon warmed up a little so I decided to head out and do a little work outside. I noticed that my chair was in need of repair so I got right to work.

It needed more time than I anticipated but I was determined to get it done!

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh......there we go...much better. Now I can sit and watch the birds with no problems!!
Gma and I took a little time out and watched some Thomas and friends while we waited for gpa to come home from work. I surprised gma today when she asked me where gpa was and I said...working at pyramid....but hey, that is where he works and I have been there a few times! I have a GREAT memory!!
After gpa took me downstairs to play with the train set we went upstairs and he had a present for me!
It was this really cool thing he called a harmonica!! He showed me how you hold it on both ends and then you blow in it....and it makes cool music!

I wanted to show puppy how it works!!

Puppy tried but he wasn't very good at it....I guess we both will have to learn how it works!!

It was then that I noticed that my truck needed some repairs....I am not sure what these people do to my things when I am not around....I guess my work is never done!!!

Daddy showed up a little while later and we had a little pizza. Aunt yaya was here for a bit too, I can't believe gma didn't get a picture of that, she was slacking!!
Gma said she is thrilled because next week she gets to hang out with me 2 different days!!!
Well, that's it for me I am OUTTA here!!!

A WEIRD week!

Once again there is much to catch up on...I know this would be easier if I just did it more often. But, this time I really do have a valid excuse!!!
First, it got cold enough for this to happen!!
Yup!!! Our first snow......and actually that was about all we got..then the weather turned around and for most of the week it was sunny and into the 60's. Can't complain when it is already November!!

Next up the excuse for not blogging before now. Little back story here! We were required by Dave's work, in order to maintain our insurance, to undergo health assessments...good thing it turns out! First thing in the lady tells me my bp is high???? Never Ever have I had a issue with that. How high...try, 176/110...WHAT? Freaked me right out. It did go down but still wasn't feeling the best. I will admit I have had a few moments where I had not felt well recently but, when ya hit 55 you write it off to other issues!! So I made a doc appointment and at that time bp was not bad 134/96, but he informed me I was having irregular heartbeats and rushed in a EKG, it showed nothing, Everything normal!!! Sent me home with bp meds, and I had hoped that would be it!!

UMMM NO!

Sunday I ended up in the ER. I had really been feeling awful and both Dave and Sarah could feel my pulse and also the missed beats. After 2 hours on the machines....NOTHING...bloodwork and x-rays came back fine and by the time I left bp was 126/69!! What the?? Oh and my arms looked like I was a drug addict, after all the blood draws and them blowing 2 veins trying to get in the iv?!?!

Tomorrow I go in for a Holter monitor to see what they can see...Wish me luck!

Early in the week we were treated to a beautiful sunset, at least what we can see of it!!

Trust me when I tell you the best thing that could happen to me all week was when Jesse and Amy came up and brought Lukas. Only thing better would have been if Sarah could have joined us, she was in Ohio for business. Look who got a big boy haircut!! He looks too old now!! :( But still way too cute!

Dranpa and Lukas doing lawnmower repairs with his new tools!!

And, when it gets late and you still want to work!!

Since he had completed all the repairs the night before the lawnmower was ready for work....but he had his tools just in case!!
He also worked on repairing the suet feeder, and watched the birds at the feeder. Short story here.....We were out in the woods when we heard a loud cackling....he stopped, looked at me and said "woodpecker" seriously it was a Pileated Woodpecker in the distance.... How the heck does he remember this stuff!!!

I also love if you ask him to spell his name....he says..L ask what is next..U..K..A..S and then at the top of his lungs he yells LUKAS!!

In the afternoon aunt Sarah came back from her trip and right away she was off playing with her little buddy. They were having fun in the sun!

Pretty sure she is SMITTEN!!

He had lots of fun pounding on all kinds of things in the woods....what, they all needed repairs!! :) :)

He is very thoughtful that way!!

The neighbors were having some asphalt work done so we were hanging out at the end of the drive watching the "the BIG TRUCKS" when dranpa came home from work. Lukas wanted to hop in with him!

SHHhhhh......Don't tell his mommy and daddy but dranpa let him drive without a license!!!

Lukas had been waiting ALL day to play with dranpa's drill so as soon as they got to the garage out it came!!

It's a good thing Dave had a little helper as the nose on the carved wood bear had fallen off!!

On Saturday Dave decided to try a new approach to cleaning the gutters. It worked out GREAT!!

Then today he channeled his inner lumberjack!! The woods needed some clean-up!
He cut it into 6 foot lengths and then loaded it in the ATV.

From the looks of the tires he may have to blow up those tires, or carry less wood!!

Again we are caught up. I will keep you all informed on the test outcome.
Once again wish me luck, Please!!
