Family Fun!!

It was a busy weekend of fun family happenings!! Lukas was primed and ready to go!!! He came over on Friday while mommy and daddy were at work, so we headed out in the VERY HUMID weather for some fun! A Lukas follow-up later in the blog!!

OK, let's start at Sarah's house. When she bought her mini cooper she knew she wanted it to have stripes. So after a VERY long time and much angst she finally found the ones she wanted. We headed over and then the decision had to be made...........where to put them??

Decision made and the work begins!!

The finished product and someone is REALLY HAPPY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Next on the weekend agenda was a family gathering at Norm and Dorothy's cottage!! If you remember last year we had family visiting from overseas and started a new tradition!! They were gracious enough to invite everyone over again this year, and oh, yes there was a lot of fun, camaraderie and great food. Almost everyone made it with a few exceptions...and they were all missed. One of those happened to be Jesse Amy and Lukas. I got a call early in the morn that he was running a 101 fever ....get better buddy!!

My 2 brothers-in-laws, Jay and Mike. I should have taken a picture of the x-ray's my sister brought of Jays neck surgery........HOLY COW!!!! This is one awesome guy who lives with more pain than most of us will ever know, thank goodness, and as you can see always tries to keep a smile on his face!! Jay you ROCK!! And you too Mike!!!!

The Lake and the weather were beautiful. Ummmmmm Scott what are you doing to that young man.....I was a bit worried about abuse!!
But, then if you look close there is a smile on his face!! :) :)
My mommy and my nephews Michael and Travis......LOVE this pic!!!
Tying to get Victoria to walk!! And no, Matt was not trying to entice her with the beer!!!

It also happened to be My nephew-in-law Mike T. ( Yes, there are a ton of Mike's in this family!!) 34Th b-day so Brenda brought the cake and to his great embarrassment we all sang!!
Dorothy be grateful as I do have pics I could post.....but I won't!!!!

One of the youngsters in the family decided to take a little paddle in the kayaks.......Looking smooth Uncle Lou!!!

Now, for those that were there....this is where you would be expecting to see a video!!!
Now, would I do that?!?!?!
Just so you know uncle Lou or any other family members who are interested.....I am not above bribery when it comes to the viewing of said video...I will wait to post it after you have commented on the blog and let me know if you want to see it!!!

My mommy and daddy....nuff said :) :)

Do any of you know my sister Nancy???
Well, if you do then you may like this video,( I have no reason to bribe anyone, as who would NOT have expected this from her!!!)

After the initial drama the ride was enjoyable.

But, then she had to figure out how to get out......I do have a video of that too!!??!!!

A little later in the afternoon Nancy and I headed out on that very same paddle boat!!! Luckily I am the one who had the camera and is obsessed with taking pictures.......WHY??? you ask? Because my entry into the boat was way SMOOFER than hers was!!! hehehe
Here we are in a self portrait!!

Some of the rest of the family were treated to a pontoon boat ride with Norm at the helm.

Some of the men folk headed out to try their hand at fishing. I love Hunter's face when he fishes.....he can really work that pole, and almost took me out while he was casting. Not to worry no photographers were injured in the making of this blog!!

Travis and his big BASS!!

Not to be left out Matt and his catch!!!

We had a REALLY great day. A Huge THANK YOU to Dorothy and Norm for hosting a much needed family gathering!!!
On Sunday evening just after we returned home we heard the owlets in the yard again. I headed out with the camera and went looking. About 40 feet from the house and 20 ft. off the ground I found them.
Ginger sitting pretty!!

Fred keeping an eye on me!!!

Both of them staring me down!!

A few seconds after this shot Fred took off and flew across the yard to another tree!! We were surprised how well he was flying and how far he got. They do the head bobbing thing in order to just distance. It is nice to have them hanging around again.

What a really nice weekend filled with family and fun!!!
Get well soon Lukas, we miss our little buddy!!!
