Brace yourselves!!

Howdy, I know it has been awhile since you had a chance to hear from me!!

So much is going on I am not sure where to start!! Just the other day my uncle Mike and aunt Becky had a little baby girl. Mommy, daddy and I went to the hospital to see her.......she is REALLY cute but, I do have to say I was NOT to happy with mommy holding her!!!! :)

Then on top of that gma came down yesterday so she could go with mommy and me to see baby girl Ward,( as she is being called!!!)

I seriously do not see what the big deal is!!! MAN!!

What am I doing in this picture, you ask??? Well, there was this string on my shoes, and so I decided to do what gma does when she needs to cut something........I use my teeth!! What, that's wrong?!?!? :)

It was also my day to go hang out with gma and we drove over to see Great grandma and Great grandpa Stark. Here we are at the table sharing an orange! Brown puppy was there and I also showed them my Chuggers!!

GGma has the coolest thing at her house.....I think they called it a player piano. You can play it just like a regular piano, and I am quite talented if I do say so myself. Sorry, back to the story.....anyways you put these rolls paper in it and then gma pushes on some pedals and IT PLAYS BY ITSELF!!! I know, amazing isn't it!?!?!

Anyways, I listened and played along with one song and then for some reason gma and ggma decided to sing along with the next one. It was at this point I said..."Don't want to hear dis one...it's too loud!" "Don't wike it!! And made gma stopped pushing those pedals!!! :) :) :)

Side note.......it had nothing to do with gma's BEAUTIFUL singing voice!! :)

And, if that weren't enough ggma also has this collection of potato mashers. There are hundreds of them, hanging on the wall! I had to take some of them down. This one had 2 mashers on it and it was so cool, I mashed gmas leg with it!

And the floor too!!

Then is was back to the mashers.......and smashing things!!

That is the technical term for using these things!!

Come on, don't try and tell me you all don't walk around with bacon in your mouth!!!

When I first got here I was a little afraid of ggpa but by the end of the day....I let him pick me up to say goodbye!!

On the way out I checked out one of the faucets! Good thing the water wasn't turned on yet!! :)

A quick snooze on the way to gma's house and it was back out door's and some more playing!

Yup, you guessed it, gma put this one in because she loves my face....yadayadayada.......she says that a lot!!!!

I needed to find a walking stick for gma and myself, I thought these might do the trick!!

But, then I spotted this one!!!! It was way AWESOME!!! And, try as I might......I could not get this thing to budge, gma was NO help either!!!

So, in true Lukas fashion....I just moved onto other interesting things........like these teeny tiny flowers!!

Which I decided to pick.... Gma gave me this really cool box, or egg carton as she called it, in the fall. She showed me how you can collect treasures and put them in each little hole! I remembered this box was in the garage and so I asked gma for the treasure box. I had these flowers, some pine cones and some owl feathers I found in it!! I am going to keep filling it up this summer!!

I thought about these bigger ones but by then gpa was home and he suggested that I just smell them and let them grow!!......I guess that was a good idea!

Last fall when we had a REALLY windy day and my basketball blew away somewhere....gma got me a new ball so I had to try it out!

I know you probably won't believe it but, I threw it up that high....I was shooting for the basket.....gpa said I should use my basket, but the other one is sooooo cool!!

You guessed it......they put me to work again. I did ask gpa if he would" show me the big rake in the shed" And, I guess if I want to be honest I didn't want him to touch it, so who else was going to do the work!!

The lawn doesn't look that big, but it was a LOT of work!!! :)

I had a great day and soon it was time to go meet daddy at his work! Gpa and I went to play in the grass while we waited!

Here he is teaching me how to roll down the hill!! It was sooo funny!!

Normally I take brown puppy with me wherever I go, but today I took grey puppy. It was my daddy's when he was a little boy!! Well, after I taught him to roll down the hill he decided to climb in a tree....I know I was shocked too...I did not know dogs could climb either!!

It was going to be up to me to go get him, because he had climbed too high and got scared!!

No matter how hard I tried I just couldn't get up there so I asked gpa to lend a hand.

Finally grey puppy was rescued!!!

WHEWWWWwww!

Afterwards he was hungry and wanted a bone. I left his bone at home so we had to make due with a wood chip!!!

I am learning that using your imagination opens up all kinds of possibilities for playing!!

With that grey puppy was whipped and needed a nap...so I found him a soft bed to sleep on!!

Just then we saw daddy coming out of work. Don't ask me why gma didn't take any pictures of him coming out of work! His work is getting this REALLY BIG new building and I can't wait to get a tour someday!!

Well, gotta get going....daddy has to pick his boat up tonight and we have to run.....talk soon!!

A little bit of this and that!!

So, somethings take a little longer than you think!! We started the kitchen a while ago, and little by little it WILL get done. I admit it is me, and not someone else, that causes the delay!! We even picked out the color and bought it a year ago...:) Every time someone wants to get started I come up with some reason not to get started.... SOOooooo today he couldn't wait!!

Today the cabinet doors came off and the finish sanding began!!!

Now, I am not sure I like the color we picked out!!! Maybe that is just another excuse!!! Well, it is sanded and the final coat is on...a little more prep and he can paint (yup, that's right I said HIM, I HATE to paint) and I will post the results.

Other news......While Lukas was here this week we went to lunch at the Pyramid with Gpa. He wanted to take along his dino's and show them the water.

It didn't take long for them to decide to go swimming....and it was an even shorter period of time before some one's arm was up to his elbow in the water!!! :)

After a little swim we headed to the lunch room and while Gpa ate someone checked out all the cool stuff!!

He had a few questions for Gpa.

A side note here....on Sunday Jesse sent us a picture of a skylight at the mall....it was shaped like a pyramid and Lukas pointed at it and said.....".Gpa works there!!! "

After work aunt Ya came over to hang out with her buddy!

I think he may have known that Gpa was going to need his help getting the cabinet doors back on soon!! :)

As if he doesn't have enough work inside!! He has plenty to do outside!!

It is really coming along....it is going to be a new boat when he is all done with it!

And although it has been sunny it has by NO means WARM outside.

Now let's bring on the nice weather!!!

Spring...It's coming!

Lukas here.....just thought I would catch you up on the goings on!!!

Daddy started training for a new position at his job this week so I had to get up REALLY early to get to gmas house! Pluto was ready for breakfast when we got there so I let him have breakfast first!!

Last week when I came up for a visit we saw a couple of deer near the creek and I wanted to show Minnie where they were!! Sadly they were not out there today! :(

I asked gma if it would be OK if I played in the sink again. This time I brought in some more things to play with.

Some of those things were really interesting to look at. We talked about things that float and ones that sink! I did find that the little lids off a contact case will suction onto the overflow drain holes and cover them up....gma said this is not a good thing....something about too much water in the sink!!! heheh

Who would have thought that a sink full of water would be so much fun!!

Ummmmm...... yea about grabbing the faucet?!?!
It is possible that it made a little bit of a mess!!


I got a little wet in the process.......so gma suggested that I throw my clothes in the dryer!
Being as safety conscious as I am, I had to make sure that the lint was removed from the screen so I wouldn't have to worry about a fire!!

I think that is good...so I put it back in the dryer!

Then it was time to get my sock off....gma suggested it might be easier if I sat down on the stool, but I have my own technique!!
It does require a great deal of skill and balance so, only remove your sock this way if you are as flexible and talented as I am!!

I made sure everything was placed exactly where I wanted it to be.

One more piece of wet clothing and I could start the dryer....this is where a little modesty comes into play....luckily the dryer door supplied just the right coverage!!! :)

So a quick change of clothes and it was already lunch time.....Look what gma put on my fingers.....

......Yummo(in the words of Rachael Ray) raspberries!!!

From now on I think, I will always eat them this way! It was pretty cool!!!

I will admit that I took a little snooze after all that fun and getting my belly full.....

It was a REALLY beautiful day outside, gma said it was something called spring.....if that is what it is called I am all for spring. Because it was way more fun to be outside today than on those really cold days we have had lately.

Some of the snow piles are almost gone and man are they dirty, but of you dig down there is still some good white stuff to eat!!

I was a little concerned about the size of those piles of snow that were left so I decided to put some back on the driveway for gpa!!

Gma and I were outside for the rest of the afternoon and we walked all around...gpa put some corn out for the deer in hopes that I may see them again....I really don't see what all the hoopla about this corn is to them...I thought it was YUCKY!! (not to worry gma really didn't let me eat any!)

We went behind the house and watched the water running in the creek...and I got to throw in some small stones and acorns. I learned that somethings float and some SINK! Carrying on those lessons learned in the house!

It didn't take long and all my acorns were gone so we went for a little scavenger hunt to find some more!

I thought for sure there would be some on this little branch....ummmm NO!

Finally, I spotted a whole pile of them.....I hollered a to gma......"I FOUND SOME!!!"

And off I went!

And just as I was reaching down to get those ACORNS gma startled me by YELLING.... NO!!!!

.......and then something about deer poop!!!!

LOL, how was I supposed to know, it's the first time I had ever seen it!!

And please don't worry I dropped it quick and gma washed my hands!!

Well back to the rocks...gma said they were a little less stressful on her!! :)
That one made a really big splash!

Yup..I do still like to carry around sticks!!

The sun melted all the snow on the slide....I was glad....although I think mommy may have to wash these pants extra good this time!!

Time to head up to the house!!

More water....that must be the theme of the day!!!

YUP, I guess it is.....

This deck is really in need of a good scrubbing, but I really didn't have time for that.....and it is still a little chilly so I just gave it a little sprinkle to get the surface dirt off!!

Gpa rode his bike to work today and I was outside waiting for him when he got home!

I had soooooo many stories to tell him, especially about the POOP.....what can I say I find it facinating!!

Anyways, gpa told me that he had found some antlers in the woods and asked me if I would like to see them....HECK YA!!!
He was showing me how the deer sharpen them on the trees.....so cool!!

All in all it was a fun day.....I really like all the outdoor time. In fact I went home and really slept good this night!

FYI....if you run into me sometime soon I just may tell you ALL about the deer POOP!!!
