Rambling......a mish mash!!!

So a mish mash of a blog.....I again have slacked so I will catch you up a little bit so that when I want to do that Halloween blog I won't feel like you missed out on anything!!!
When we were camping at the lake my mommy and sissy came to visit! My sissy Janney was coming out later but because of certain family situation :) she didn't make it and we met up for dinner instead! Here we headed out for a little hike around the lake. For those who don't know my sister Nancy....she is under some misconception that she is my parents favorite!!!!.......so she wouldn't let my mom just enjoy her walk and had to hang all over her!!

We did play on the swings and we all agreed they were bigger and way more comfortable when we were younger.......

Nanc and I sat in the lake!!

We sat at the state park and commented on the fact that we remembered it being a much larger beach area!! and that would have nothing to do with the fact we are older and maybe a different size than the last time we were here!!! :)

We had some REALLY wild weather this week. To start we had tornado warnings, rain, and then a couple of days of WIND....WIND....and more WIND!
Although I was very nervous Lukas and I ventured out to check out all the leaves that were flying around!!

He wanted to make sure that the moose saw them too!! He kept saying "leaves flying!!" He is also very concerned about the "DEAD" trees. I guess since the leaves are off they are dead and "drampa cut them down" hehe. We have had to explain they are sleeping and the leaves will come back in the summer!!

It is a bonanza of sticks to carry!! Of course we still had to have the broom and the moose. When he found pine cones and acorns he had to juggle all this around....and then finally wanted dranma to take them!!!

I sure do LOVE this face.

He is growing up way too fast. Almost potty trained, knows a lot of his letters, recognizes his name when written, knows one two shut the door, has a new girlfriend (and gets all coy and giggly when you ask),and as of yesterday is climbing out of his crib!!!
Stop right here for a bit , PLEASE!!!
Yesterday, I met up with some classmates...it has only been a few years since school!! We had a really nice group this time... hopefully we will continue to grow!
We met at the Daily Brew, a nice coffee shop in Wayland. It was really nice to see a few of the males show up this time. I know that Mike Tyler was thrilled when Mile Trubiroha( how weird when I spell check it gives me the word drawbridge as a possible correct spelling for his name :) wow!) showed up....he was afraid he was going to be hanging with the girls alone!

WARNING!!!
If you see this witch.........RUN!!!!
Thanks Lisa for all the great gifts and FUN!

There ya go....caught up for the most part. Did want to load a few more pics but was having a few blog probs....next time I promise!!

A sunny and colorful Fall week!!

Seriously, could we ask for a nicer fall this year!? It has been mostly sunny and warm. We have also been treated to a lot of color. This last week we went somewhere we have never camped before.......Gun Lake. I know right in our back yard and we have never been. We are not much for crowds when we camp so this is NOT the place we would go......but this time of year was perfect and we will definitely do it again...maybe later this week!!! hehehe

We were treated to eagle sightings a few days this week. I tried but was never able to get a picture of the 2 that were hanging around, together!! They did draw a crowd of picture takers when they were here, and I loved that they seemed to have a favorite tree right near our site!!

My mommy and sissy came for a visit and luckily we were treated to a beautiful day...I will share more of our visit in a later blog as the pics are on the other camera!!! :)

Ahhhh...yes and Dave and I went for a nice little bike ride! What you don't tight role your jeans!!?? Again, the remainder of the pics are on the other camera and I will update you later!!

Now on to the really important updates.....can you guess....I know you can!!!
Lukas came to hang out with us on Friday..... he had lots of fun playing in the sand. Even though it was a little cooler than last weekend it was still fun to be able to play outside!

After he filled his truck he wanted to carry the beach to the grass....actually he wanted to make sure the sign was buried deep enough in the sand!! So he took scoop after scoop to the sign..with his "BIG SCOOPER" or spoon!!

Look dranma I can dig to China from here!!!

Dave got out to the campground after a hard days work and right away headed to the beach to hang with his little buddy. Of course he would never torture him!!!.....he kept telling Luks to get down and walk while holding his feet just off the ground.....naughty gpa!! A little side note here.....whenever anything happens to Lukas, like when he fell into the hinge on the window, or he trips on something, you ask him what happened he will say " dranpa did it!!!!!" LOL then naughty dranpa!!! Dave wants to know why he is always to blame!!!

Grandpa and Lukas clean the beach!!

I know you have NEVER seen a picture of Lukas carrying a stick have you???!! Cute story here.....there was a little boy across the beach, who was maybe 4 or 5 who kept yelling at Dave... can he come and play?? I am not sure he heard him so he yelled louder. Dave answered back that no he was a little young yet...the little boy kept asking "is he a baby?" to which Dave replied no he is just a little guy. Again....about 3 times he yelled "is he a baby?" So, finally Dave said yes, he's a baby....without missing a beat the little boy yelled...... "then why does he have a stick!!"
Hey, I thought it was funny and the tone in his voice was so indignant...like if he is a baby, why in the world are you people letting him carry a stick!!!!

Just because!!

Taking a little walk with dranpa...he once again took off his hat and said bye bye to his hair...hehehe.
He is very concerned and kept patting the bald spot!!!
Someone was teaching him to climb trees....I won't say who!!. I am waiting for him to try it himself. If you show him something once he is bound to try it, he never forgets anything! Next thing I know he will have bark burns from trying to climb by himself!
Sorry in advance guys!!

Oh, and teaching him to hang from branches!! He loved it!! He had tons of fun throwing leaves with aunt Yaya!!!

He also wanted to put leaves on all the parking posts!!

Aunt Yaya and Lukas take in some lakeviews!!

Playing peek-a-boo!!

Dranpa found Lukas a treasure....a fishing bobber!!

Aunt Yaya and Lukas making smushie faces through the window....and ummm Sar..you still have a lot of prints to get off that window!! :) He kept licking the window in the process too!!
Jesse has a birthday coming up and really wanted a new wetsuit for sailing....so before the season was over we got one for him....quite the model!!! YIKES!!!
Down the beach there was a really BIG stick that Lukas really wanted....he kept pointing at it and saying "big stick faraway........get it." Unfortunately, it was the large antenna that was over a mile away!! And fortunately there was a log on the beach that was also far away, but much closer that he was satisfied with!! :)
I think he was trying to figure out how to lift it up and carry it!!

What your not supposed to eat leaves???

Saturday was another beautiful fall day and we all went for a little walk...including....Puppy. Right now other than Thomas the train,( and all his friends which he can name ALL of...seriously ALL) Puppy is the favorite toy of the moment. He had to get his leech so he could walk him. He also has to show him everything along the way....trees, pumpkins, stones!!! He never puts him down just carries him and holds him up to everything!! :)

Here he is walking with Great grandma, mommy, and puppy!

There is a gentleman that has a couple of antique cars, trailer and boat that was camping here this weekend. Lukas was pretty impressed with the face on the front of the car so he introduced it to Puppy!

And while he was at it he also introduced him to a real doggie!!

I have no pictures to share of the next story. I have decided that when it comes to the whole potty training thing I would not post those pics...like I said before it isn't that I don't have any :) just not going to put them on here. So the story with no pics attached!!
He is doing spectacularly..he wears his big boy unders almost exclusively now except at night, and even then he wakes up dry most mornings. He will tell you when he needs to go. I will admit that it is a little nerve racking when you are far away from a potty......and hmmmmm maybe he has been taught to go (only if necessary) somewhere else..:)
So we went out for dinner at Sam's on Saturday night and he is sitting playing and says....Potty (quietly of course!:) so off he and Amy go. He is coming back and saying potty...potty all the way, people were smiling at him as he goes! He is very proud you know! So, he sits back down and the waitress thinking she will compliment him says so you went potty!?! He says back to her....in a not so quiet voice...."Ya BIG ONE!!!" As you might guess there were a few chuckles from ours and other tables around!!
With that I will close for now and say we had a AWESOME time with family again this weekend, and can't wait to do it again!!

We have been treated to some spectacular sunsets this week!!

Hello my name is Mary and I am a blog slacker!!

OK, OK, I admit it I have been slacking!! It isn't that we haven't had a lot going on....we have. It's not that I haven't taken any pictures...I have!!! I could make the excuse that for some reason uploading on blog spot has been a pain lately, and keeps changing my fonts too!!! But, the truth is.....I am just lazy! :)
I will catch you up on all the goings on in a later blog (have you ever heard that before?) but, for now here is what we are up to now!
It is not always that we get this nice of weather well into October so we decided to take advantage!! One last use of the camper was in order. Can you blame us?

And while it was still nice we took out the boat for some sailing enjoyment!
I think that Jesse is finding his new hobby and is having fun at it!!

While the boat was on shore Lukas and his mommy looked at the bubbles in the water through the trampoline!
Side note here......this was day 2 with Lukas not wearing any diapers. He has been doing really good!! He told us he had to go every time!!!

Drampa took the family out for a ride! Luks has become a great little sailor!

Lukas loves to explore. He had a lot of treasures in his bucket at the end of the day. He had leaves, shells, sticks, and if he had his way he would have taken a pumpkin we left floating in the water! We drew his name in the sand and he can tell you all the letters, and what it says! While we were sitting at the trailer he kept saying A...a....a we looked around to see what was up.....he was pointing to the A on the tires of the trailer!!! Then to the m, t, o when we asked him what it spelled, he said LUKAS!!! Silly!! When you ask him his name he says Lukas, then tell him to say Elliott, right away he says Ward!!! I am sure he is a genius!! :)
Lukas and drampa loved to swing!

So, while Jesse sailed the rest of the family joined in!!

Even I took a turn....I remember those seats being a little more roomy!!! That and poor Lukas had a harder time reaching back to hold the chains with dranma that with drampa.....if you catch my drift!!! :)
After a nice dinner Lukas and Jesse took a walk along the shoreline!
We had a BEAUTIFUL sunset !
That just got more and more beautiful!
Red sky at night sailors delight!!!

The kiddos left and like always we had a awesome time.

We will spend a few days, and enjoy the sun and surf! Really......80 in October? and for a nice long stretch! Last night we were again treated to a spectacular sunset!

Do you see it??? There in the upper left side......starring you in the face!! Do ya??? That nasty dark spot, creeping in to ruin my picture!! I took the camera in and I guess there is a spot on the sensor.....bummer. How it got there I have no idea, and they want $200. to repair it. I am thinking I may need to just get a new camera.....wink wink!!

I know I have said it before but, really I am going to try and be better about blogging again!!!
