All caught up!!!

Hang on, I am determined to get caught up and the best way to do it is to make this one of the longest posts in the history of blogging.....just kidding it isn't quite that bad!! While we were camping we wanted to tale Lukas to Sam's joint to show him all the dead animals..:) and other things on the wall! Well, there was a Porsche club and a wedding there....so guess what we did?!?!? WAITED AND WAITED!!!

Someone decided to make the best of a bad situation!!

Why in the world he was this HAPPY is beyond me.....because it was right around here that we had reached the hour and a half mark and out waitress came to tell us the we were in the line and sorry that our orders had been forgotten!!!

Because of this face, I remained cool....for those who know me that may come as a surprise!!!
The best part is that these faces come with NO sound!!!

Blue and grey puppies came along and they were getting a little tired of waiting. Lucky for them the book Lukas brought along has some bones in it......so they got to eat!

Lukas was VERY hungry too!!

Lucky for Jesse both the pups and Lukas were willing to share!!!

Lessons learned......he was very happy to see his plate of veggies arrive!!!

VERY HAPPY!!!!

He did finish his meal with a fork, and let me just say....this boy LOVES coleslaw!!!!

So, with that I will end our lakeside adventure for now!!

This past week Gpa told Lukas that he had a project for them to work on!

They both got their tools ready !

Gpa decided that Lukas needed some safety glasses and the ones that came with his tool kit are so cloudy, so he had him wear his sunglasses!!
One thing I thought was really cute......(I know?? What don't I think is cute when it comes to him!!!) Gpa gave him his hammer, but Lukas wanted to use his own plastic one, because Gpa's didn't have CLAWS!!

!

They are both really hard workers!!

Lukas also decided that a drill was necessary to complete the task!!

What was it they were working on???

A new birdfeeder of course!!!

Then it was off to the deck to fill it up!

He was VERY PROUD!!!

He helped Gpa hang it up.......

......turn the poll out over the yard.....

....and play for awhile with the squirrel spring.....

They watched for the birds to arrive!!

It was all very intense...while they waited. It wasn't till later in the day that a bird finally found the feeder!

Since they had dropped a few seeds in the process Lukas thought they should blow off the deck!!

He made sure he had his hearing protection!!

After all the hard work it was time for a little PLAY! Not sure if we have a little Tiger in the making or not!!

He also had a lot of fun throwing balls into a bucket!!

He used all the balls he could find.

The best part was once he got the ball into the bucket, instead of just taking the ball out, he would pick up the whole bucket and throw it over his head!!! Hey the ball would come flying out so I guess whatever works!!! :)

He and Gpa found a dragonfly....he warmed up to it after a few minutes!

A few days later and aunt Ya came over to hang out! These are his safety goggles, that came with his tool kit. They are sooooooooooo cloudy I can't imagine how he can see out of them, so she took out the lenses!! As you can see he was VERY concerned!! I love how they have the same scowls on their faces!!

It didn't stop him from checking it out!!!

Then he took her outside to show her the feeder he made!!

One of the reasons we were all together was Great Grandpa and Grandma Ward are back in Michigan and it was ggma's Birthday......we will not say what B-day it was!!!!

But she did need some help blowing out the candles!!:):)

The family enjoying the cake!!

We all know how MUCH Lukas LOVES birthday cake, and this time was no exception!!

I wonder if he takes after anyone?!?!?! LOL :)

I think it is possible that I am caught up for the most part..... !!!

WHEW are you exhausted???

I'm a lumberjack and I don't care.......

Going to do a little backtracking here.....while we were camping at Yankee Springs the rangers were talking down a tree...Why we could not figure out....and honestly they did not seem very adept at it!!!! None the less they worked and worked at it...

The question should be asked???? and so I will...How many rangers does it take to cut a stump?!?!
In this case..............at least 6, one with a chainsaw and the rest for moral support!!

Someone LOVES his tools and when we heard the saws running he wanted to lend a hand. So he grabbed his saw and hammer and off we went to see where the workers were!!!

Since they seemed to be having some trouble cutting it up, Lukas offered his advice!!

And while they discussed the options he had laid out for them, he got right on the work at hand!! Even Blue Puppy was willing to lend a hand!

I guess he was doing such a fine job they decided to let him finish the job for them!!

On the other side of the park they had a couple of large chunks of the stump and Lukas continued practicing his sawing skills!!

Blue Puppy wanted to play in the wood chips!! Silly Pup!!

Then Pup spotted a huge pile of wood chips and ran over to have a look!!! He wanted to climb all the way to the top!

They MADE IT!!!

While on our way back to the trailer Lukas wanted to explore the rest of the park!! Yup, even the porta pot.........Don't worry I DID NOT let him check it out!!! :)

Someone had some blue silly string on the posts and he wanted to spend some time cleaning it off!!! :)

As you have all heard me say before....I LOVE this boy!!! I NEVER get tired of exploring with him!!!

Desi and Lucy hangin around!!

A quick update on Desi and Lucy!!

We have spotted them around the house quite a bit. Here is Lucy checking me out!

Why it seems that they always leave the box and then we get all kinds of storms I will never know! Here she is hanging on while the wind blew in!

A long ways up and still holding on....They also always seem to hang out on the worst branches and high up in the trees!!

The other night we found them huddling together!

Surprisingly enough when I was making coffee the other morning I saw her sitting in a low branch just above the lawn. I ran to get the camera and when I got back to the window she flew .........the nest box!!??? In all the years we have watched them we have not seem them do that before!!!

And finally 2 days ago Lucy was watching us as we did some yard work....

Heard one of them screeching for food yesterday but no sighting...we will keep you informed!
