And we were swingin'

Now that the weather has turned nice it was time to honor the gift we got for Lukas for his birthday. My folks, us and aunt yaya bought him a swing set and Saturday seemed like a good time to go and set it up. While we were at the Toys r Us store g-pa spotted something else that he thought Lukas would like.

Right away he seemed to like it!! After a little lunch, it was time to get to the real work of the day!! All hands were on deck for this one. Daddy, G-pa and Lukas all decided where they should put the swing set. Man there were a lot of parts.

Lukas had to get a little hands on as the grownups were having some trouble reading the directions.
With all the nuts and bolts Lukas was sure that they would need the drill

No, he didn't want any help......

That's OK dad he can handle it himself!!.....

" MOM, look at the really cool drill I can carry"

After all that work they didn't need it after all!!

Oh well, he liked helping out anyways!!

And since he had done all the hard work of hauling the drill around he decided that he would rather act as a supervisor!!!

And, when that got a little boring he just went off with the shovel and the rake to play in the yard.

Even before it was finished he wanted to try out the swing. Schaffer wanted to see what all the commotion was all about too!

After all the hard work was done and some little person had a nice nap, while the adults watched a biking movie we all headed out to dinner. We went to a favorite Chinese restaurant near where the kids used to live. Lukas did pretty well all through dinner and really liked wantons dipped in sweet and sour sauce. At one point he started to get a little fussy so I pulled out my camera. Almost immediately he started to pose for the camera. He has never done that before....I know hard to believe with me and my camera always in his face...:)

The funny part was how with each picture he made another face. Rather than comment on each one I will just put a few on here....trust me there were more!!!

The last couple are some new faces he has come up with......little eyes down and a little frown followed by a cheesy smile....man do I LOVE this boy!!!
