It's My Turn .............

Well, I have been given blog duties tonight. So, here is my perspective on today's happenings.

They had a 50 mile off-road running marathon here today that started at 6:00 AM! We were awakened by the sound of runners going by the camper talking loudly amongst themselves. 50 miles in this park is an epic effort. The climbs are brutal.

There were many different clothing themes, from GI Joe to tutu's to guys with big bushy wigs. Also seen was a gorilla and then the Von Trapp family.

I got my ride in and finished just as the rain moved in again! Got to say, I am tired of the wet weather. Drove down here in a down pour, the park is saturated and now more rain today and for the next several days.

Mary and Sarah went on little hike today up to the Nature Center then down the pathway towards the lake. It was sunny and bright .....

Until they came across this ........

Then they called it quits and headed back to the camper. Not sure what kind of snake it was but, it appears to be about 6 feet long.

After my cleanup we headed out to climb some towers and do a little looking around. We went down to Monroe Lake and then into Bloomington for a great meal at Red Lobster. I know that is not roughing it but, it sounded good. Besides, Mary cooks us gourmet meals every night anyway.

Tomorrow will be wet again and Monday we will be bringing the rain back to Michigan for all of you.
Dave.
