Spring Fling

I told you I would give you a little owl update.

The other day I saw the one egg in the box. I was pretty sure the other night that I saw a third. Hootie will lay an egg and then leave the nest. She will come back within the next day or so to lay another and so on. Until she has laid all the eggs she will continue to do this. Well she has been sitting now for the last few days so I assume we are done. In the last years we have had 2,3,2,3 and now 2 again........we must be in some sort of pattern!!! Although I am disappointed in the camera at night, at least we can see in the box this year, and the angle seems a little better. So here are the 2 eggs for this year. It will be sometime in the second week of April that they should hatch. Till then I will keep an eye and see what we can see.

Remember when I told you Dave got me a new camera for my birthday? Well here it is......and I LOVE it. It is small and fits in my pocket, so I can take it anywhere........

The sun was shining and spring was in the air so I took a little walk with the new toy......

The deer have already started eating some of the plants!!!

I like the way the pictures turned out and this is without any editing. I really do need to try that sometime.
